Installing InkBook software for the first time
You can follow these steps for the trial or if you just purchased the software and don't have it installed yet. If you did have the trial installed and then purchased the software,
you don't have to install it again, just register with your new serial number when you start InkBook up.
Before installing InkBook, make sure your computer meets the system requirements.
1. Download InkBook Software
Download the latest version of InkBook using the link below:
Select the option to Run or Open the file (depending on your browser). We recommend that you exit other programs while running the setup file.
Once the software has finished downloading, you may be asked if you want to run the software installation at this time. Select Run once again to continue.
2. Install Prerequisite Software
If you have Windows 7 or Windows Vista, you may see a User Account Control message come up when the program starts to install. In this case, allow the setup by clicking on Yes.
Before installing InkBook on your computer, the installer will check to make sure your computer has all of the programs needed in order for InkBook to work properly. If it detects one or more missing applications, it will install them for you. Press the Install button to install these applications.
3. Install InkBook
You will see a standard welcome screen come up for installing the program. Click Next to continue with the setup.
Accept the license agreement and click on Next to install the software.
You will then be shown the installation location of the software. Do not change this location, and click on Next.
Finally, click the Install button and InkBook will continue installing.
When it is done, select the option to Launch InkBook, which will open the program after you click Finish.
4. Starting InkBook for the first time
When you start InkBook, you will be prompted to register the software, or continue using the software as a trial. If you have already purchased the software and have a serial number, select the Register option
and enter the serial number in the spaces provided to continue. Otherwise, you may continue using the free trial.
You will then be asked to create a new blank database, sample database, or to restore a backup. If you previously had InkBook on another computer and are reinstalling on a new computer, you likely
want to select the restore option. Otherwise, the blank or sample databases would be the preferred option.
If you would like to get started using the software with your own employees, services, and clients right away, then choose the Start Fresh option. If you would like to start learning how to use InkBook with some sample information (which can be deleted later), select Start with Some Sample Information.
That's it, now you can use InkBook
