Hardware Requirements

Please read the minimum and recommended hardware and operating system requirements below. Requirements may be different depending on your software package. For adequate performance to run the software, please follow at least the minimum hardware specifications. For optimal performance, please follow at least the recommended hardware specifications.

Note: InkBook can run on any PC, laptop, or notebook computer as long as it meets the minimum requirements on this page. InkBook can run on a Mac computer if any supported version of Windows is installed on the computer using BootCamp or a Windows emulator software.

InkBook Tattoo Software on a Single Computer

The computer and hardware requirements listed below are recommended to run InkBook Tattoo software on a single computer. This includes the Standard and Professional packages of InkBook Tattoo software, as well as the client computer(s) in a network package.

InkBook Tattoo Management Software on a Network

InkBook Tattoo software networking uses a true server/client relationship for maximum speed and efficiency. The server computer is a fully functioning computer from which you can take appointments, run payroll, look up clients, etc. You do not need a dedicated server computer or a very high end computer.

Your server computer will be the computer that runs SQL Server 2005 Express (or SQL Server, depending on the number of client computers), holds the database, and is able to make backups of your database. Because the server computer will perform the most work, it should be your best quality computer for optimal performance.
